5.
How do I adjust the nose piece and depth control?
The nose piece should be adjusted so that it is one notch past the point of the screw. The nose piece is adjusted by removing the small Phillips screw that attaches it to the SuperDrive. Once the nose piece is adjusted, additional depth control adjustments should be made with the depth control ring. If you are using a Makita adjustable torque screw gun, you should adjust the torque BEFORE adjusting the depth control so that the clutch releases just after the screw seats.

6.
How often should I clean the SuperDrive?
You should check and possibly clean the tool at the end of each working day. Check, tighten and clean the tool using carburetor or brake cleaner, blow off with air, and only use a lubricant with Teflon in the formula. Place a single drop in each marked area in the module

7.
How many bits will I use?
In some cases, a single LOX bit has driven more than 25,000 screws. Bit life varies dramatically with various applications. User technique also effects bit life and bit life will improve with user experience.

How do I remove the SuperDrive Extension
  1. Remove the (Grabber/Hitachi) SuperDrive tool by a counter-clockwise twist of the wing-nut (CWF04-Grabber/725424-Hitachi), remove bit from extension end receptacle.
  2. Loosen the extension handle (DHHL03A-Grabber/725431-Hitachi) by turning it counter-clockwise (it works as a clamp on the couplers collets feature).
  3. Unscrew the extension coupler (SDEXT2-Grabber/725476-Hitachi) from the screwgun.
  4. With a firm grip on the extension bit rod (EXT520-Grabber/725430-Hitachi) pull out of the screwgun’s bit receiver.
  5. You can now insert the bit for the SuperDrive, attach the SuperDrive tool, tighten the wing nut (hand tighten only) and the tool is now ready for use without the extension. The depth control has not be altered, so the tool should be ready to use in production.

11.
How do I attach the SuperDrive extension
  1. Remove the SuperDrive tool with the wing nut.
  2. Remove the bit
  3. Replace the extension bit
  4. Attach the extension by threading it on the screwgun coupler
  5. Re-tighten the extension handle (left or right per your preference)
  6. Insert the bit for the SuperDrive tool
  7. Attach the SuperDrive tool to the extension coupler (be sure that the SuperDrive is setting flush to the couplers base), tighten the wing nut and it is ready to go.
  8. Again, the tools depth adjustment has not been changed so it should be ready to run!
